Drive-Thru Food Drive | December 12 (Save the Date)

Let’s join together to support EFAA (Emergency Family Assistance Association) in helping individuals and families in need this winter! EFAA relies heavily on school-based food drives to stock its pantry shelves in the fall and winter. Without the school drives this year, keeping shelves stocked for the needy has been a challenge for EFAA. Donations will be made with minimal contact; donors will place groceries in the back seat or trunk of car, and remain in car while volunteers retrieve the donations. Needed items are: canned chili and hearty soups, canned fruit, peanut butter, canned tuna or meat, canned vegetables, canned beans, vegetable oil (plastic bottles, please), dry beans, rice, pasta, shelf stable pie crusts, aluminum roasting pans, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, toothpaste.

Encouraging Our Teachers

Send a note of encouragement to a teacher at our partner school, University Hill Elementary School. Notes will be added to the Teacher Encouragement bags (see below). Notecards and envelopes will available for individuals, families, or small groups who would like to serve in this meaningful way.

Teacher Care Packages

We will be giving the teachers at University Hill Elementary small gift bags filled with supplies and goodies to encourage them during this stressful time.  Needed items:  dry erase markers, post-its (3×3 and 1×1), glue sticks, XL paper clips, washable markers, kleenex, #2 pencils, scotch tape refills, ZipLoc bags in gallon, sandwich, and snack sizes, individually wrapped chocolates (like Dove), fun size candies, individual packs of hot chocolate, $5 giftcards to coffee shops.

Donations for care packages can be dropped off at the church Mon-Thurs from 8am-5pm.

Lamb’s Lunch

Lamb’s Lunch is one of Calvary’s top community outreach efforts–a once per month Saturday meal and worship service from November through March.
