MEDICAL
A trained medical volunteer will be available throughout camp to provide basic first aid and administer approved over-the-counter medications as needed. In the event of a medical emergency, parents will be contacted immediately, and the student will be transported to the nearest medical facility in Estes Park. During registration, you will have the opportunity to indicate which medications may be administered to your student by the camp medical staff if necessary.
PACKING MEDICATION
If you are sending medication along, please put everything in a zip-lock-type bag.
– Medication needs to have the student’s name on it.
– Write out on a separate paper the instructions (timing, frequency, dose, etc.) for medication
– Put both the medication and instructions in a plastic bag with the student’s name and Calvary’s Campus on the outside.
DIETARY NEEDS
Special accommodations can be made for requested dietary needs at all camp meals. On your student’s registration form, there’s a spot to indicate any dietary needs.
In regards to dietary restrictions: if your student plans to bring their own food items, please specify this in the Dietary section along with their dietary restrictions.
ROOMS & BEDDING
Students will need to bring their own bedding (sleeping bag, pillow). Each student will have their own bed. The size of rooms varies by grade and campus. Boys and girls are never allowed to enter a cabin assigned to the opposite gender. Each room will have a leader in it with students.
MONEY FOR CAMP
The snack shop and souvenir shop will be open throughout the weekend. Payment can be made with cash or card. We recommend sending students with a card to eliminate risk of money being lost or stolen.
DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT & THEME
This year’s camp theme is Slumber Party! Throughout the retreat, students will participate in themed games, including costumed dodgeball. Be sure to bring your best pajamas, robes, slippers, or creative sleepover attire. There will be a prize for the best Slumber Party costume!
