At Calvary, one of the ways we seek to follow Jesus is by reflecting His heart for the poor and the oppressed—especially right here in our own community.
2025 Food Assistance
Many in our community are experiencing challenges due to recent changes in food assistance benefits. As a church, we want to respond with compassion, care, and practical support. We are focusing on two key efforts:
Here’s how we can help together:
- First, if you are part of our Calvary family and will be affected by the SNAP delay or other food insecurity, please reach out to one of our staff members or fill out this form. We want to make sure you’re cared for.
- Second, if you would like to give, bring all donations directly to your local food banks. More information is below
In the meantime, let’s be in prayer for those who are facing the difficult challenge of food insecurity. Let’s ask God to meet their needs—and that each one would know the love and care of Jesus, who sees them and knows them by name.
Matthew 25:35-40
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, …, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
Deuteronomy 15:7-8
“If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be.”
