COMMUNICATIONS INTERN

The communications team is involved in nearly every aspect of ministry at Calvary Bible Church. We have the incredible privilege of proclaiming the good news of Jesus to our congregation and communities through our work. Digital media and platforms make up a huge proportion of our communications. Purpose

To build Christ centered communities of people fully devoted to loving God and loving others by implementing our communication strategy across the organization through graphic design, web design, and other digital media.

Hours

Part time (20 hours).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Professional use of the following software: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Apple Pages, Microsoft Office, MailChimp, and WordPress. Knowledge of other Adobe Creative Suite applications is helpful.

Collaborate with the Marketing Specialist to implement the overall digital communication strategy for Calvary Bible Church.

Manage the strategy, content, and design of calvarybible.com to ensure an online presence that is consistent with our communication strategy.

Lead the effort to develop an exemplary web experience that connects users with timely content and opportunities for connection to Calvary ministries while integrating the use of Planning Center tools.

Travel between to Calvary campuses for meetings and to deliver communication materials.

Serve as the web designer, editor, content creator of photos, graphics, copy, layout and design for calvarybible.com.

Create social media posts for Calvary’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts (with the potential to expand to other social platforms). Write, design, schedule, and manage posts using design software and social management platforms including Sprout Social.

Contribute to the filming, production, and editing of video projects for Calvary (online worship and sermons, midweek updates, stories, b-roll, and capturing events).

Facilitate Calvary’s brand identity and its use throughout our ministries; monitor the use of logos, fonts and images that represent our organization to align with with Calvary’s standards.

Contribute to the design and production of visual materials for promotions, signage, advertisements, brochures, calvarybible.com, registration forms, sermon series, and informative and instructional materials.

Serve as a member of the Creative Arts Team through creative input and organization for sermon series, ministry events, and church events.

Develop, monitor, and evaluate Calvary’s digital presence online, including calvarybible.com, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, other social channels, and the Church Center app.

Be the resident expert on fast paced, ever evolving technical design and digital media opportunities for engaging our audience.

Identify new digital opportunities to clarify, strengthen and expand Calvary’s message.

Print production projects as needed

Other duties as assigned.
