You are a worshipper.
Think about it, all you say and do, think and feel, point to something.
That could be a frightening thing, but even in our doubts, fears, anger, and loneliness we can reach for that which is greater than us.
As we reach, we can worship.
Worship is our response to who God is and what He has done in His creation.
At Calvary, as we worship corporately, we desire to stand in awe of His Holiness, be changed by His Grace, and be touched by His nearness.
An intimidating task indeed, but one that is our highest calling. In our feeling of inadequacy towards this goal we find humility and vulnerability.
We value use of the entire history of the church in song, as well as fulfilling our command in the Psalms to “sing a new song”.
We consider style, volume, and genre of music to be secondary issues to what is really important, the God we worship.
